Every great game starts with the right seat.

Buying or selling a Personal Seat License comes down to three things: what it costs, how protected your money is, and how easy the negotiation is. Here's how PSL Scout and STR Marketplace compare, based only on what each platform publicly discloses.

Last verified: July 21, 2026, from strmarketplace.com and the Dallas Cowboys Seat Option Marketplace (cowboys.strmarketplace.com), one of STR's team-specific sites. Terms vary by team site and can change, so always confirm directly before transacting.

Quick verdict

STR Marketplace is a legitimate, team-approved operator: it partners directly with teams and venues, and every transaction is reviewed by the team itself. It runs as a separate site per team (about 18 NFL teams today), and while it does publish fees, they aren't easy to find, and STR is the platform with the highest total fees in this comparison, up to 24% combined between buyer and seller. PSL Scout covers 19 NFL teams under one account, publishes its fees upfront, and backs every deal with a 24/7 AI concierge plus real-time negotiation tools.

Choose PSL Scout if: you want a transparent marketplace with published fees, faster negotiation, support available anytime, and a smoother experience during the process. Choose STR Marketplace if: your team runs an official marketplace through them and you specifically want to transact on the official platform in exchange for higher transaction fees.

Fees & protection

Listing is free on both platforms, with no limit on how many PSLs you publish. The fee only applies once a deal actually closes: PSL Scout charges a published 10% ($100 minimum) to both the seller and the buyer, shown clearly on the listing upfront. STR Marketplace does publish its fees, but they're harder to find, and after a 2026 increase to 12% ($250 minimum) on the seller side, plus its buyer fee, STR's combined fees can run as high as 24%, the highest of any platform in this comparison.

Both platforms also hold the transaction's funds until it's safe to release them, just differently. PSL Scout holds funds securely and releases them once the transfer is confirmed. STR Marketplace collects payment upfront and releases it only after transfer forms are signed and the team's ticket office approves, which is one extra checkpoint PSL Scout doesn't require.

Product

PSL Scout is built as a single, modern platform: one account covers all 19 supported teams, with an interactive seat-level map, offers and counteroffers that stay open for 3 days and can be edited without starting over, real-time chat with message reactions and threaded replies, and a 24/7 AI concierge on top of human support.

STR Marketplace feels more traditional by comparison. Each team runs its own separate site (built on individual .aspx pages) with its own login, so a fan interested in more than one team needs a separate account for each. Its interactive map works at the section level rather than individual seats, negotiation happens through a message center rather than real-time chat, and support is limited to phone and email during business hours that vary by team.
