This guide is based on the official Cleveland Browns New Stadium PSL FAQ and the team's 2013 PSL pricing map. The Browns can update these rules. Confirm details with your account representative before you buy, sell, or let a season membership lapse.
If you own a Cleveland Browns PSL at today's Huntington Bank Field, that license is your ticket into the new Huntington Bank Field in 2029. The team will convert the official price of your current Personal Seat License into a credit toward a new PSL. Miss a season, or sit out the move, and that credit can disappear.
This is the full guide for current Cleveland Browns PSL owners: how the credit works, how much each section is worth, the 2028 deadline, transfer rules, and how PSL Scout helps you find licenses with more credit value before the move.

What a Cleveland Browns PSL credit is
A Personal Seat License (PSL) is the right to buy Cleveland Browns season tickets for a specific seat. When the Browns leave the current Huntington Bank Field after the 2028 season, that right ends. In its place, the team gives you a PSL credit you can spend on a new PSL in the new Huntington Bank Field, set to open in 2029.
The credit is not cash. You cannot get a refund, a check, or Browns tickets in exchange for it. You can only apply it to a new stadium PSL.
The short version: stay renewed through 2028, and your current Cleveland Browns PSL turns into a credit for 2029. Cancel, or skip buying in the new building, and the credit is forfeited.
How your PSL credit is calculated
Your credit is not what you paid a broker, a friend, or a marketplace. It is not what you paid the team years ago either.
The Browns calculate it from your current seat's official category on the 2013 PSL Pricing Map. Two licenses in the same category get the same credit, even if one owner paid far more on the secondary market.
That is why the map below matters, and why the section on a listing is more important than the sticker you remember paying.
Cleveland Browns PSL credit amounts by section
These are the official category prices on the 2013 map. They are the figures the team says it will use as your credit toward a new Huntington Bank Field PSL.
| Level | Category | PSL credit |
|---|---|---|
| Lower level | A | $2,100 |
| Lower level | B | $1,500 |
| Lower level | C | $1,125 |
| Lower level | D | $750 |
| Lower level | Lower Dawg Pound | N/A |
| Club level | Club-Prime | $1,500 |
| Club level | Club-Sideline | $1,500 |
| Club level | Club-Corner | $1,500 |
| Mezzanine | E | $1,125 |
| Mezzanine | F | $750 |
| Mezzanine | Upper Dawg Pound | N/A |
| Mezzanine | Bar stools | N/A |
| Upper level | G (all rows) | $1,500 |
| Upper level | H (all rows) | $1,125 |
| Upper level | I (all rows) | $750 |
| Upper level | J (all rows) | $375 |
| Upper level | K, rows 1–20 | $375 |
| Upper level | K, rows 21–32 | N/A |
N/A on the map means that category does not carry an official PSL price, so there is no published credit for those seats. If your seats are Dawg Pound, bar stools, or K rows 21–32, ask your Browns account rep how (or if) a credit will apply.
New stadium PSL prices have not been published as a full public map. Until they are, treat these figures as your buying power, not as the final cost of a 2029 seat.
How to keep your Cleveland Browns PSL credit
You keep the credit only if your season membership stays renewed and in good standing through the 2028 season, the last year in the current building.
If you cancel season tickets before then, the Browns say the PSL credit is forfeited.
You do not have to buy the same seats, the same quantity, or even the same level in the new stadium. You can upgrade, downgrade, or move. Every seat in the new Huntington Bank Field will require a PSL.
If the new PSL you pick costs less than your credit, the leftover is not paid out. Spend what you can toward the new license. You do not get cash back.
If you do not buy in the new stadium at all, current PSLs end after 2028 and the unused credit is forfeited.
Tenure and seat-selection priority do transfer when you buy new PSLs, as long as you follow the team's transfer rules (see below).
Selling or transferring a Cleveland Browns PSL before 2029
A buyer who takes the license through an approved PSL Transfer Agreement becomes eligible for the associated credit, if they keep the membership in good standing through 2028.
That is the window: a Cleveland Browns PSL you buy now is not only this year's seats. It is also a claim on 2029 credit, as long as you renew.
Rules the team publishes today:
- Completed transfers for the current season must be in before May 1. After that date, the transfer waits until the next season. A request after May 1, 2026 is processed for 2027, not 2026.
- Transfers are limited to once per year.
- Tenure may transfer only to an immediate blood or legal relative. Tenure does not transfer if the original holder keeps any PSLs.
- Credits can be combined only if the PSLs are formally transferred into one primary account before you buy in the new stadium. You cannot pool credits across separate accounts.
- If a PSL holder dies, ownership can move to next of kin or the estate executor. Transfer fees are waived in that case.
If you are buying on the secondary market in 2026 or 2027, plan around that May 1 cutoff so you actually sit for the season you think you bought.

The unused balance is not refunded or paid out.
Will every seat in the new stadium need a PSL?
Yes. The Browns say every seating area in the new Huntington Bank Field will require a PSL.

How does PSL Scout show Cleveland Browns PSL credits?
On PSL Scout's Cleveland Browns listings, each license shows the credit amount you would carry into the new Huntington Bank Field, based on that seat's official category. Use it to compare listings by credit value, not only by today's asking price.
Buy a Cleveland Browns PSL now, get more credit in 2029
If you want a stronger position in the new Huntington Bank Field, the lever you still have is which current PSL you own. A Category A lower-level license carries a $2,100 credit. A Category J upper seat carries $375. Same team, very different buying power in 2029.
Because the credit follows the official map, a license you buy below official category value can be a better deal than it looks, as long as you stay renewed through 2028.
PSL Scout is the marketplace to browse current Cleveland Browns PSLs, compare sections, and see the credit amount on each listing before you make an offer. If you are planning for the new stadium, start with the credit, then the seat.
